Donna Wampler graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Accounting and began her career with State Farm Insurance in Murfreesboro, TN as an Accounting Supervisor. In 1984, she accepted a position at State Farm’s corporate headquarters and moved to the Bloomington/Normal area. Donna earned her CPCU, CHFC, CLU, FLMI, and MGA insurance designations and is a past President of the Central Illinois Chapter of CPCU.
In April 2008, Donna started working part-time for PrairieThunder Hockey. Then after 33 years in various leadership positions at State Farm, Donna decided to retire from the insurance industry and work full time in the world of professional sports. From May 2009 until October 2010, she was General Manager of PrairieThunder Hockey. Donna continued to play various roles with the PrairieThunder through June of 2011.
When the Bloomington Blaze came to town, Donna continued to work in the sports world and is currently Director of Community Relations and is a Corporate Sales Executive.
Donna has been married to Paul Wampler for 26 years and together they have 4 children and 9 grandchildren. The whole family loves hockey and 4 of her grandchildren play on various Bloomington Youth Hockey teams.
